"Hi There, by now you know for the last couple of years we've had a very swinging association with Reprise records. Well this it's your's truly doing impressions.
This album came about because we wanted to something that all the jocks and the various people who had seen this in night clubs had said why don't you do some impressions on the records. In looking back we found that we had done it all. Finally the guys at reprise decided it might be some kind of a ball to do a particular idea. For instance on this side you will hear famous songs as done by famous people. The only difference being we take the song and start it as the guy who originated it and go into some other people who certainly have no right to sing it at all except for humour, 'cause it's not there style.
We think you'll find it kind of interesting, and with the help of Morty Stevens, who is largely responsible for the arrangements, and the help of George Rhodes and some other people on the other side I think you'll dig it.
This is the kind of thing we do in the night clubs, so if you've notheing else to do, lets put it on, eh! And if anybody calls you up and says who is that? Cool it, don't give my name - because I might be liable"

Up in the mornin' out on the job
Work like the devil for my pay
But that lucky old sun has nothin' to do
But roll around heaven all day

Fuss with my woman toil for my kids
Sweat 'til I'm wrinkled and gray
While that lucky old sun has nothin' to do
But roll around heaven all day

Good Lawd above, can't you know I'm pinin'
Tears all in my eyes
Send down that cloud with a silver linin'
Lift me to paradise

Show me that river
Take me across then wash all my troubles away
Like that lucky old sun, give me nothin' to do
But eh roll around heaven all day

Well I'm up in the mornin' out on the job,
And I work like the devil for my pay
Don't you know the lucky old sun ain't got nothin' to do
But roll, I said roll, Oh roll,, Um roll,
Yes lord roll around heaven all day

Don't you know thata
Always fuss with my woman toil for my kids
Sweat 'til I'm wrinkled and gray
Don't you know that old sun he get nothin' to do
But roll, I said roll, wow roll, roll,
Oh lord roll around heaven all day

Don't you know that
Lord above, don't you know that I'm pinin'
I gotta teardrop rollin' in my eye
Why don't you send down that cloud with a silver linin'
Lift me to paradise

Show me that river
Take me across and wash all my troubles away
Like that lucky old sun, give me nothin' to do
But roll around heaven all day
